At Aotea Roast, we’re a small island roastery located in the Hauraki Gulf, alongside Aotea Brewery and a native plant nursery where we practice sustainable methods every step of the way. From our off-grid home on Aotea (Great Barrier Island), we roast every batch using renewable energy, staying true to our commitment to sustainability.

What began as a small, local venture has since grown into an online store, bringing our small-batch artisan coffee to our mainland crew. We’re hands-on, testing and trialing fair trade organic blends to make sure every cup is as good for the planet as it is for your taste buds. No power lines, no rush, just small-batch coffee, and a team that love what they do.
